Suwoh. The great spirits of the Bribris
Suwoh: Set of shamanic beliefs professed by the Bribris indigenous people of Costa Rica. The Bribri religion is based on the cult of Sibö, creator and cultural hero; in the power of the awápa or shamans; and in the structuring of the town of different clans.
The basis of this religion are the traditions transmitted from generation to generation that the Awápa call "suwoh" which can mean "soul", "history" or "wind".
